What to send to start a long-distance estimate
A long-distance price depends on more than miles. The fastest way to get started is one text with:
- Both addresses, or at least both cities and ZIP codes.
- Your move date, and whether it can move a day or two either way.
- What is going: number of bedrooms, plus the big pieces (sofas, beds, dressers, appliances).
- Photos of each room. A short video walk-through works too.
- Access at both ends: stairs, elevators, long walks from the curb, gates.
We use this to plan the job and talk through the cost with you. Photos are a starting point; we may ask to see the items on a video call or in person, and the estimate is put in writing before moving day.
Get rid of what you are not taking first
Every item on the truck costs space and time. Because we also do junk removal, we can haul away the things you are leaving behind on the same visit we load your move, so you are not paying to move a broken dresser three hundred miles. Tell us which items stay, which go with you, and which go to the dump.
How to get ready
- Book as early as you can. Long trips take a full day or more, so dates fill up.
- Pack and label boxes by room. Mark anything fragile.
- Keep documents, medicine, keys, chargers and valuables with you, not on the truck.
- Empty and defrost the fridge the day before.
- Make sure someone can let us in at the new place when we arrive.
